Ilia Topuria has shown off a new contraption that is supposed to aid his recovery even further ahead of the biggest fight of his life.
Lightweight champion Topuria has been out for almost a year due to personal issues away from the octagon, and returns against Justin Gaethje in the main event of UFC White House. He is leaving no stone unturned in preparation, including very serious recovery protocols.
Choose which man will leave the White House as the undisputed UFC lightweight champion on June 14!

Gone are the days of drinking wine while making weight, as Topuria is taking his pre-fight work incredibly seriously. It is all beneficial, and he is a heavy favorite to unify the division with a victory on June 14 in Washington, DC.
Ilia Topuria’s strange-looking contraption divides fans
In the opening shot of his latest pre-fight vlog, Ilia Topuria donned headgear that wouldn’t look out of place in A Clockwork Orange. He claims that the device uses ‘infrared light’ which serves to ‘improve focus, aid mental recovery and improve sleep’.
The headgear hooks up to his nose with clips, and he insists that it gives him the focus that he couldn’t dream of even by drinking ‘100 coffees’. It doesn’t seem, though, that everyone who watched agrees with the method.
“Doing all this just to get slept,” one commenter wrote. “Reminds me of Henry Cejudo lead up training to the Sterling fight.” Another added that there is ‘no need for all this bs’ given Gaethje’s age and recent record.
“Gaethje’s getting prepped for a fist fight and Ilia’s in a sci-fi sleep pod,” one likely AI bot account added. “If this ends with a spinning backhand, the couch geeks were right.”
However, others were impressed to see Topuria ‘follow the future of the sport’ and reinvest his substantial earnings into bettering himself as an athlete.
