Scientists have estimated that most Campylobacter cases in an English county are associated with poultry meat, and that many of them are resistant to antibiotics.
Researchers from the Ineos Oxford Institute for antimicrobial research and the Department of Biology said that 80 percent of Campylobacter infections in Oxfordshire can be connected to poultry meat.
