Deezer reports its first year of profitability for the fiscal year 2025—the first time the French music streamer has surpassed all key metrics.

On Wednesday, French music streamer Deezer unveiled its 2025 financials, reporting profitability for the first time and exceeding all three key metrics across adjusted EBITDA, positive net income, and free cash flow. This, Deezer said, marks “the start of a cycle of sustainable profitability.”

Deezer reported $9.4 million (8 million euros) of positive net income and $11.8 million (10 million euros) of adjusted EBITDA in 2025. The company generated $639 million (543 million euros) of revenue and $159 million (135 million euros) in adjusted gross profit, up by 2 million euros since 2024.

This growth was attributed to a $14 million (12 million euro) reduction in expenses, while earning more users through the company’s position on AI in music and artist compensation. Deezer now boasts over 90 million users, with subscribers increasing by 8.6% in its native France and by 7.7% worldwide last year.

“We are proud to see 2025 was a solid year, and we met or exceeded all of our targets,” said Deezer’s chief financial officer, Carl de Place. “Our brand differentiation is clear: Deezer is increasingly recognized for standing up for artists, transparency around AI-generated music, and fairer remuneration for the music ecosystem.”

Deezer renewed 10 major distribution agreements in 2025, including TIM and Sonos, and expanded to six new ones with companies including Brazilian streaming platform Chippu and Taiwan’s EDF Entertainment. The company also says it is developing an expanded offering for partners like Sonos.

“We are bringing our tech, content, and expertise to music professionals that want to integrate music as part of their customer experience,” added de Place. “We want that leg to become significant within the next five years.”

Notably, Gen Z is the fastest-growing demographic on the streaming platform, while an internal survey found that 40% of users who switched their music streaming subscriptions to Deezer from another service did so because of the company’s values, according to de Place.
