The UFC 6 gameplay trailer seemingly leaked that Max Holloway will fight Conor McGregor next.

UFC fans have been extremely excited for the new iteration of the video game for a while now, and it was announced last month that the cover stars for the June 19 release will be Max Holloway and Alex Pereira.

This Tuesday afternoon, the first trailer for the game was released with several fighters featuring in it, such as Ilia Topuria, Arman Tsarukyan and Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Front and center of the trailer, though, was Conor McGregor, who continues to be rumored to be returning on July 11 at International Fight Week’s UFC 329.

The gameplay trailer opened up with a fight between ‘Blessed’ and ‘The Notorious’ McGregor, with the two linked to fight each other in Vegas.

Holloway goes on to drop the former UFC double champion with a boxing combination, subsequently finishing him and exacting revenge in their rematch.

The Hawaiian is an avid gamer and speaking on being the cover athlete for the new game, the former BMF champion stated ‘it means a lot’.

“It means a lot, man, I’m a gamer and as a kid, you saw covers of any video game and with me having history with the UFC game… It’s crazy man, to be here, to be on the cover, you dream of this as a kid,” Holloway told UFC on Paramount.

When Holloway first began his MMA career, he used to use combinations that he would use in the game during practice.

With the game set to release almost a month before UFC 329, ‘Blessed’ may find himself unable to fully immerse himself into it, depending on whether he will be fighting on the card.

“I’m seeing all the talk that you guys are seeing, I haven’t really heard anything yet, but that wouldn’t be a bad time… We have history, we fought a very long time ago and I told you guys, if someone gets one over me, I wanna get them back.

“I’d love to get him back, him having all this talk of coming back and everyone talking about how serious he actually looks, he looks like he’s actually training and taking it and really wanting to come back to fight, it’s exciting. He looks hungrier, he looks super hungry… I have to get my get back,” Holloway continued.

The UFC 329 card has begun to take shape as it was recently announced that Paddy Pimblett will fight Benoit Saint-Denis on the card.
