Production company Kadokawa announced a television anime adaptation of Masao Ohtake‘s J⇔M (JM) manga on Tuesday, revealing a celebratory visual (pictured).
Ohtake began serializing the action comedy manga on Kadokawa’s Harta Alternative website in May 2023. The sixth volume went on sale in October 2025, with the seventh volume scheduled for release on March 13.
Kadokawa licensed the manga in English for digital release in February 2025.
Synopsis
J is a legendary hitman who is feared in the underworld as “untouchable.” One day, while walking on the street, he accidentally collides into a lonely elementary school girl named Megumi. However, because of the accident, they switch bodies.
J is now forced to go through the life of the schoolgirl Megumi, while Megumi is now forced to go through the life of the hitman J. One chaotic and comical situation after another ensues as they go through each other’s life.
