  • Apple’s latest smartwatch is back on sale.
  • Right now, you can save $100 on the Apple Series 11.
  • The newest model features a new Sleep Score implementation, an upgraded interface, and blood pressure notifications.

WE TEST A LOT of fitness trackers, and we obviously like some more than others. But our editors are generally on the same page when it comes to one particular device for general use: The Apple Watch Series 11. It’s a beginner-friendly smartwatch with all the basics, and you can get plenty out of it outside the gym. And if you’re already a regular Apple user, even better.

There’s even better news: Apple’s latest smart device is back on sale on Amazon for a limited time. Right now, you can save $100 on the Series 11—the same deal Amazon highlighted during its recent Big Spring Sale event. It’s not on sale for any particular savings event this time around, but you won’t hear us complaining.

The Series 11 makes small but crucial improvements on the previous model. While Apple Watches are somewhat notorious for their less-than-desirable battery life, the 11 is the first device to last up to 24 hours. The extra six hours make a difference, as it requires just one full charge a day. Senior Fitness Editor Brett Williams, NASM found that the watch lasted up to 25 hours during testing. This is especially crucial to sleep tracking.

Speaking of which, sleep tracking probably got the most considerable upgrade. Apple’s new platform, watchOS 26, provides a more comprehensive Sleep Score. This is the first time Apple has implemented what is now a pretty common feature, but better late than never. Your Sleep Score is graded out of 100 and pretty straightforward; the three main markers are Duration, Bedtime, and Interruptions.

The watch’s new “Liquid Glass” design also makes for a more intuitive experience all around. The new display now features four icons at the corners of the screen (Workout Views, Goals and Targets, Media, and Workout Buddy) to help personalize your daily workout routine. The new system implements another game-changer: hypertension notifications. While you can’t get fleshed-out blood pressure readings, the watch can now detect signs of chronic, elevated blood pressure. You’ll have to wear the watch regularly to receive the notifications, but that’s to be expected. The watch needs to get a feel for your typical levels.

All things considered, the upgrades in the Apple Watch Series 11 are worth the investment. And if you’re considering a smartwatch for the first time, we’d highly recommend it. At $100 off, it’s a relative no-brainer.
