Two rivals are jockeying for playoff positioning in Foxborough
The New York Jets and New England Patriots are battling from windy Foxborough this Sunday, as they continue to jockey for playoff positioning in the crowded AFC East. This game is certainly a candidate for the lowest-scoring affair of Week 11, as both teams scored just a single field goal in the first half.
These two teams battled just a few weeks ago, with the Patriots scoring a 22-17 victory. The final score wasn’t exactly indicative of how the game went, however, as Zach Wilson threw three interceptions that changed the course of the game. Mac Jones didn’t have a great outing either, but New England’s defense and Rhamondre Stevenson carried the day.
The stage is set for Wilson to avenge himself, or for the Patriots to strengthen their case in the AFC East. New England has won 13 straight vs. New York. Will the Patriots make it 14 straight on Sunday? Follow along in the live blog below, as we break down this matchup as it happens.

The Patriots offense had something going, but a huge nine-yard sack derailed the drive. Not only that, but Nick Folk missed the 44-yard field goal! It his the crossbar! We remain 3-3. Huge win for the Jets.

Pretty big third-down pickup for Jakobi Meyers. 13 yard gain across the middle. Then Jonnu Smith follows it up with a 26-yard gain.

Zuerlein hits from 45 yards. Tied at 3.
9 plays, 46 yards for the Jets on that drive.

Patriots defense stands up just outside of the red zone. New York to attempt a chip-shot field goal.
But wait … they get a delay of game! That costs them five yards.

Wilson hits Mims for a gain of 34 yards. Ball was very much overthrown and Mims just had to hold up for it. Worked out!

Patriots kick the 24-yard field goal. Can’t even argue with the decision.

Patriots facing a decision here at the quarter break. Go for it on fourth and short from the five-yard line? Or kick the FG?

Jonnu Smith just fumbled the ball while running in space. Lucky to get it back. Guarantee Bill Belichick won’t be trying that again.

Patriots center David Andrews is injured. Looks like a lower-body issue. He’s an important part of that offensive line and has had a rough go over the last month or so.

Mac Jones finding a bit of a rhythm here? 4-5 for 35 yards.

Damien Harris busts a move for a gain of 22 yards. Right up the middle. It was Rhamondre Stevenson who starred against the Jets a couple weeks ago. Maybe it will be Harris today.

Two penalties (almost three) on this punt play. We had to punt three times!

Zach Wilson just underthrew a pass to Elijah Moore on third down. That or it was tipped. Either way, Jets are punting again.

Jets almost had a huge pickup across the middle, but Denzel Mims just straight-up dropped it. Gross.

Zach Wilson picks up 13 yards or so on second-and-14. Jets really should have him run more. New York is challenging if he got the first down or not. Could be the first first down of the game!

Sauce Gardner with an MVP-kinda play. Just big-boy-shoved the smaller Tyquan Thornton who couldn’t reel in the catch. Looked like a fumble for a sec, but it was incomplete.

Jets answer the Patriots’ three-and-out with a three-and-out of their own. Patriots bringing good pressure — as was expected. Jets went play-action on first play — which I loved. Wilson picked up a few yards on the scramble. He threw away a pass on third down — which was good to see considering what happened the last time he faced off against this defense.
May be a defensive matchup with this wind.

Running on second-and-17 is something I may never do if I was a play-caller. Patriots now have a third-and-14.
Three and out.

Jets brought big-time pressure on the first play from scrimmage, and Mac Jones is sacked.

Kickoff now moved back to 1:10 p.m. ET

There are reportedly technical difficulties with Jets-Patriots and kickoff has been moved back at least 5 minutes.
