It’s time for some more magic, and a lot more mayhem
- Teamfight Tactics is introducing a first-of-its-kind PvE mode
- Tocker’s Trials pits you against hordes of enemies and six bosses
- This limited-time experimental mode will be exclusive to the Magic ‘n Mayhem set
League of Legends’ mobile spin-off Teamfight Tactics is set to follow its recent launch of Magic ‘n Mayhem with a brand-new experimental PvE mode. It’s a major departure for a game, and universe, which has primarily been oriented towards PvP. With that in mind, what do Tocker’s Trials involve? Let’s dig in.
First of all, it’s important to note this will be a limited-time mode that’s focused on the current bevvy of content introduced in Magic ‘n Mayhem. You’ll have access to the current set’s champions and augments roster, earning gold and levelling up as you would in a normal game, however, charms will not be making an appearance.
In Tocker’s Trials, you must overcome 30 rounds, and six bosses and do it all with only three lives! Fortunately, you won’t need to wait long as this is a solo mode, with you choosing when you’re ready to face off your foe. But for those show-offs reading, you don’t need to worry, as you’ll also get the chance to show off your high score to your friends on the leaderboards.
Chaos reigns
And that’s not all, because Tocker’s Trials will also include Chaos Mode. Details are scant, but once you’ve finished normal mode you’ll be able to tackle this new variant yourself. All the TFT team have revealed is that “there’s a reason it’s called that.” Sounds suitably ominous.
Tocker’s Trials will arrive alongside patch 14.17 on August 27th, and remain in place until September 24th.
