Production company NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan opened an official website for a television anime adaptation of Atekichi‘s Saikyou no Shokugyou wa Yuusha demo Kenja demo Naku Kanteishi (Kari) Rashii desu yo? (The Strongest Job is Apparently Not a Hero or a Sage, but an Appraiser (Provisional)!) light novel on Monday, revealing the main cast, staff, a teaser visual (pictured), and an announcement promo. The anime series will premiere in April 2026.

Atekichi began penning the adventure fantasy novel on the AlphaPolis website in August 2016. AlphaPolis published the first volume with illustrations by Shigaraki in March 2017 and released the eighth volume on Monday, which also featured the anime announcement on its wraparound band. The series has a cumulative 850.000 copies of its volumes in circulation.
Atsushi Takeda began drawing a manga adaptation on the AlphaPolis website in August 2017. The sixth volume went on sale on March 31.
AlphaPolis is releasing the manga digitally in English on its Alpha Manga website and app, and released the fourth volume on March 21.
Synopsis
Hibiki, a high school student who was suddenly transferred to another world, wanders alone in a vast grassland of a fantasy world where monsters inhabit.
