Madden NFL 25 is now out on early access, and you can enjoy a free trial if you’re subscribed to EA Play on either PC or console.
This offer is available to all on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC (given you have an active EA Play subscription). All subscribers can enjoy up to 10 hours of unrestricted gameplay. If they decide to convert it into a full purchase at any point, they will retain all their in-game progression and also get a 10% discount on their purchase. Let’s take a look at how you can enjoy the trial.
How to download the Madden NFL 25 trial with EA Play
I have EA Play on both PC and PS5, and I have downloaded the trial version on my console. While the download process should be straightforward, there are a couple of alternate methods you can use (in case the Trial doesn’t appear on your end).
- Go to the PS store from inside your console.
- Search up Madden NFL 25.
- Open the game’s page, and a “Game Trial” version will be available for download (as shown in my screenshot).
- If the “Game Trial” doesn’t appear, go back to the PS store.
- Go to Subscriptions.
- Go to EA Play.
- From there, go to Explore Games to find the trial. In my experience, the trial for Madden NFL 25 won’t appear in this section if it already appears on the game’s store page.
For Xbox users, the process is the same. If you have an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, open the Madden NFL 25 store page. It will let you download the trial version. For PC users, the trial can be accessed from the Steam app or EA Play.
The early access is a really great way to enjoy all the content and test out this year’s product before a full purchase. You can also enjoy the trial if you’ve purchased the Standard Edition. Since the Standard Edition doesn’t offer any early access, the EA Play trial will let you enjoy up to 10 hours of extra gameplay prior to August 16.
