Chlöe is undoubtedly one of Halle Bailey’s biggest supporters. From their days as a music duo to standing by the “Angel” singer through her pregnancy, the pair are practically inseparable.
Over the weekend, the sisters took to Instagram Live to connect with fans and share the juicy details of how Chlöe found out about Bailey’s pregnancy. According to the new mother, the Praise This actress was the very first person she called after discovering she and DDG were going to have a baby.
“I had to go to the airport right away, and I picked up my phone and I called Chlöe. I think [she] was like, ‘No way.’ I think she didn’t believe me,” Bailey said. “She thought I was joking when I told her, and then I just remember hearing [her gasp]. She was happy for me immediately.”
“I was so excited because, you know, he’s like my baby as well. I just really, really love him. He just makes me so happy; I can’t explain it. I was just ecstatic from day one, to be honest,” Chlöe added.
In a recent cover story for HelloBeautiful, Chlöe revealed that she’s not in a rush to have children, especially with Halo around. “Sometimes, we get pressured by society. I just turned 26, and sometimes they’re like, ‘You have to settle down and have kids and do that,’” she explained. “But I’m like, I can have a little bit more time because I have the best nephew in the world, and it’s like I get [the] best of both worlds.”
Earlier in the month, the sisters blessed fans with “Want Me,” their first collaboration since 2020. It appeared on Chlöe’s sophomore solo album, Trouble In Paradise, alongside other surefire cuts like “Temporarily Single” and “Same Lingerie.” Ty Dolla Sign, YG Marley, Jeremih, and Anderson .Paak were among the other featured artists.
On the music side, Bailey hasn’t debuted much in 2024. She dropped the guitar-laden “In Your Hands” in March, followed by a surprise appearance on DDG’s “If I Want You” re-release in August.
