As the depressing plot of Jujutsu Kaisen goes on, Gege Akutami shares more pieces of information about Gojo Satoru. Even though most people loved him, his past and life were a mystery. But Gege answered thirty-three questions about Gojo recently.
Starting from his skills to his weakness, Gege Akutami revealed more information about one of the most loved characters in Jujutsu Kaisen. Real along to know more about Gojo Satoru.
Gojo’s Past and Family
Gojo’s history and family have always remained a mystery in Jujutsu Kaisen. But Gege has revealed more about this. In a recent interview, Gege answered that Gojo is from Kyoto. The Gojo family house is also located in Kyoto. He doesn’t use the local dialect much because he was moved away from his family at a young age in the name of missions and training.
Gojo chose to be a Jujutsu sorcerer as he was fed up with his overbearing family. Another major thing was one of the anticipated answers about Gojo’s family. Gege revealed that Gojo’s parents are actually alive. They gained a higher status after Gojo was born but are not particularly strong. So, Gojo was separated from them at a very young age.
Gege also revealed that Gojo is an only child. Since he was stronger, he was treated differently and was very unlikely to have normal conversations with relatives. In Chapter 96, when Ogami and the other saw Gojo roaming in the middle of the city, he actually ran away from home and was just wandering.
Highschool Days and More
Even though his training for becoming a Jujutsu Sorcerer was rigid, he escaped and skipped it to have some fun. He also had experience fighting and exorcising curses before joining the school. As we know, the students in Jujutsu High have the option to customize their uniforms, Gojo’s uniform was plain and not much customized.
Gege goes on to talk about Geto’s uniform as it should make us wonder how Geto got the idea to customize his uniform that way. In High school days, Gojo had a gravure idol as wallpaper. But he eventually stopped it because Ieiri found it creepy.
Gojo lived in the school dorms. His upperclassmen didn’t interact much with him because he was a member of one of the three big clans and was powerful. Having a strong underclassman was not a good thing for the upperclassmen.
Gojo must have had a mentor in his childhood because he learned the basics of Jujutsu from the Gojo family. He had to work so hard to master his techniques by himself though. Gojo gets paid on a monthly basis and not a one-time payment like Mei Mei. His salary is comparable to the minister. He also has the assets of the Gojo clan. So, he is basically rich.
Gojo Satoru’s Likes and Dislikes
Gojo never stopped wanting to be a Jujutsu Sorcerer. When asked about Gojo’s complexes, Gege answered that Gojo might not have complexes. But if he might have to say, probably unable to stop Geto might be one.
Gojo was pissed when Yuji died. There was a part of him that resigned himself to death. His perspective was that everyone could die at some moment. When Gege was asked about what Gojo felt joyful about or enjoyed the most, he replied that he couldn’t imagine it, but Gojo would probably be happy if he saw someone talented as a Jujutsu Sorcerer.
Gojo can handle a bit of English apart from Japanese. He does know how to cook but rarely does. It was very unlikely for Gojo to have a license, but if he had one, he would have passed it in one test and he would be a paper driver.
If he is drunk, he would probably space out, but the output of his CT start bugging out. He is the kind of person who would walk into an expensive store and buy clothes without checking the price tag. But he would say it’s okay repeatedly after seeing the final bill.
Gege revealed that Gojo’s weakness and strength, both are his personality. He is more of a beach person than a mountain person. Even though he looks like someone who likes cats, he is a dog person. He also prefers bread to rice.
Gojo sleeps at 4 am and wakes up at 7 am. He became more dependable after Suguru’s defection because he developed a sense of responsibility towards nurturing the next generation.
