Xbox Wireless Controller (Pulse Red) | $64.99 $39.99 at Best Buy (opens in new tab)
What a difference a few days can make, huh? When Black Friday sales went online early, the entire range of official Xbox Wireless controller colorways were discounted. Now, on the day itself, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to find any stock of (arguably) the best gamepad on the market. So here we go, I’ve found one: Xbox Wireless Controller for Xbox Series X and Xbox One in a deep Pulse Red color. It’s $39.99 at Best Buy – now that’s a $25 saving you shouldn’t ignore.
US: $64.99 $39.99 at Best Buy (opens in new tab)
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands – Next Level Edition | $69.99 $29.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is one of those games I fear got lost in the 2022 shuffle. It released in the immediate aftermath of Elden Ring, and FromSoftware’s action-RPG effectively dominated all conversation in the first half of the year. But here’s the thing – Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is excellent. It’s so much fun. A truly wild FPS, regardless of whether you’re playing solo or in four-player co-op. So take advantage of this $40 saving while you still can.
US: $69.99 $29.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
Life is Strange: True Colors | $59.99 $14.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
This is a controversial statement, but it’s past midnight here in the UK so I’m going to go ahead and make it: True Colors might be the best Life is Strange game. I know, I know. It certainly isn’t as hella groovy as the original, but there’s something about Alex Chen’s more rustic, emotional journey that I really fell in love with. You know, it’s probably because True Colors just lets you hang out in a record store and listen to music… anyway, where was I? Oh, the deals! $45 off of Life is Strange True Colors, get on it right away.
US: $59.99 $14.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla | $59.99 $14.99 at Best Buy (opens in new tab)
Ubisoft is finally winding down support for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (opens in new tab), two years after we were first welcomed into Eivor’s adventure. That’s why there’s never been a better time to jump back in. There’s a bounty of DLC and expansions available, and a base experience that sits as as one of the best open world games (opens in new tab) you can play today. So for $14.99 you should give ACV a chance, because it’s 100% worth it.
US: $59.99 $14.99 at Best Buy (opens in new tab)
Seagate 1TB Storage Expansion Card | $219.99 $199.99 at Best Buy (opens in new tab)
Admittedly, this isn’t the cheapest the Seagate 1TB Storage Expansion Card for Xbox Series X has been this Black Friday. However, the damn thing keeps going out of stock – so I wanted to flag it just in case. I can personally vouch for this being an exceptional device, and a must own if you have a large library of Series X and Xbox One games. It’s also super handy if you’re wanting to easily take games over to a friend’s house. While that $199 price point seems imposing, the $20 saving is solid for an item that has become an essential part of my XSX setup.
US: $219.99 $199.99 at Best Buy (opens in new tab)
FIFA 23 | $69.99 $39.99 at Best Buy (opens in new tab)
Have I been watching the England v USA game while I’ve been hunting for Xbox deals for you hungry Black Friday shoppers? That depends on whether you’re going to stitch me right up with my boss. Listen, we’re all friends here. So why don’t you forget about a disappointing game of World Cup football, recreate the match in FIFA 23, and have a far more entertaining time. This isn’t the cheapest the game has been over Black Friday, but Amazon keeps going out of stock on its $34.99 offering (opens in new tab).
US: $69.99 $39.99 at Best Buy (opens in new tab)
Dying Light 2 | $59.99 $24.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
Okay, so now we’re talking! One of the best open world games of 2022 is now just $24.99 at Amazon. That’s a great price for a great game, which just so happened to receive its first major DLC update last month. Dying Light 2 is a lot of fun, runs fantastically on Xbox Series X (although this version of the game also plays on Xbox One), and… well, let’s be honest, sometimes you just need to run around a city doing parkour tricks and kicking zombies off of rooftops. It’s rad.
US: $59.99 $24.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
Razer Kaira Pro Wireless Gaming Headset | $149.99 $89.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
Razer know how to make good gaming headsets. I don’t know what else to tell you! Okay, I should probably also tell you about this great deal I just found – $60 off the Razer Kaira Pro Wireless Gaming Headset for Xbox Series X and Xbox One. At $89.99, it’s undoubtedly one of the best wireless gaming headsets under $100.
US: $149.99 $89.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
Grid Legends | $59.99 $9.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
Grid Legends is one of the best racing games of 2022, and now it’s heading into its final lap with a truly outrageous advantage. Okay, that’s about the extent of my knowledge of racing terms, so let’s just get right into the deal: The Xbox One and Xbox Series X version of Grid Legends, available at Amazon, for just $9.99. That’s a wild 83% discount.
US: $59.99 $9.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
Xbox Wireless Controller (Shock Blue) | £54.99 £29.99 at Box (opens in new tab)
This £25 saving on an Xbox Wireless Controller in the Shock Blue colorway is likely to go out of stock, fast. Microsoft issued discounts on its full range of official controllers for Black Friday and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to find one in the UK and US. So if you’re game for it, just on this deal while you still can.
UK: £54.99 £29.99 at Box (opens in new tab)
Red Dead Redemption 2 | $59.99 $20 at Walmart (opens in new tab)
One of the greatest games of a generation, Red Dead Redemption 2 has solidified itself as a stone cold classic within its five years on release. As a result, the game fluctuates a fair bit in price, but normally around deals time, it drops to $20. We have previously seen it briefly touch $15 on Amazon, but only for a day back in September. If you’re wanting to dive into the Wild West, Rockstar-style, then you could do worse than picking the game up from Walmart for $20.
Lost Judgment | $59.99 $14.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
A sequel to the 2018 game Judgment (itself a spin-off of the Yakuza series), Lost Judgement is now at its cheapest-ever price on Amazon. This adventure game from Sega is a steal at this price. You take on the role of detective Yagami, master three martial arts stances, and take to the underworld of Tokyo to get to the bottom of a difficult case. Wild that it’s already under $20, having previously been cheapest at $30 earlier this year.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II | $69.99 $55.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
The newest installment in the Call of Duty franchise, Modern Warfare II (the second one) is a fitting sequel to 2019’s Modern Warfare. Although it only came out a few weeks ago, we’re already seeing the new COD sub-$60, and probably won’t see it go any lower before Christmas. So if you’re looking to get the latest Call of Duty, then there’s never been a better time. And if you scroll back below, you’ll also see offers for last year’s COD: Vanguard.
US: $69.99 $55.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
UK: £69.99 £56.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
Forza Horizon 5 | $59.99 $29.00 at Walmart (opens in new tab)
One of the best racing games ever created is now at a new low price. If you really want to put your new Xbox to the test, then this is the game to do it – a riveting driving sim that’s fast and furious. An essential for any Xbox owner.
Elden Ring | $59.99 $35 at Walmart (opens in new tab)
A repost – because this deal’s still one of the best going, which has been made even clearer by the lack of further reductions on Black Friday itself. We’ve seen Elden Ring stuck at a $49.99 sales price for a few months now, so Walmart’s additional discount down to $35 is particularly impressive. You’re getting one of the best games of the year at a record low price here – this certainly isn’t one to miss. Disappointingly in the UK, still no discount on the Xbox version of Elden Ring, which sits at around £50 (opens in new tab).
US: $59.99 $35 at Walmart (opens in new tab)
Far Cry 6 | $49.94 $20.00 at Walmart (opens in new tab)
The latest installment in the Far Cry series is now available for just $20 – worth it alone to see Giancarlo Esposito doing his thing as the game’s villain. In our 4/5 review, we said: “Marks a new era for the Far Cry series and delivers more explosive action and adventure than ever before, even as the story fumbles some of its more upsetting plot points.”
US: $49.94 $20.00 at Walmart (opens in new tab)
UK: £18.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
Xbox Series S | $299.99 $219.99 at Woot (opens in new tab)
Woot is an Amazon distributor putting out some great deals, including the Series S console for a new record low price of $219.99 in the US. This is, by far, the cheapest way to get into current-gen gaming. There are also some record-low prices in the UK. Check them both out below.
US: $299.99 $219.99 at Woot (opens in new tab)
UK: £249 £189.99 at Currys (opens in new tab)
Sonic Frontiers | £49.99 £29.99 at Currys (opens in new tab)
Sonic Frontiers, the latest – and perhaps most controversial – 3D Sonic game, is already on sale for a heavily discounted price in the UK. It’s now just under £30 at Currys, which, if you’re curious about Sonic’s adventure, is worth a punt.
A recap of some of the best UK Xbox deals we’re seeing so far:
- Xbox Series S:
£249£189.99 at Currys (opens in new tab) - Xbox Series X:

£49.99£19.99 at Currys (opens in new tab)
There’s still more deals trickling through this Black Friday, but those are definitely some of the very best in the UK right now, with some class games on sale and even better deals on extra controllers and hard drives.
Xbox Series X | £449.99 £429.99 at Very (opens in new tab)
Although the Series X is now two years old, discounts are still few and far between. We’ve already posted about the refurbished unit you can grab for £30 off, but now – on Black Friday its very self – we’ve finally seen money off the brand new console. You can grab the Series X for £20 off from Very. Which is, ehem, very nice.
Sonic Frontiers | $59.99 $39.99 at Best Buy (opens in new tab)
I have to admit it, I am becoming Sonic Frontiers (opens in new tab) curious. Especially at this price. The new open world adventure from SEGA has proven to be divisive, which means the only way to truly get a read on the experience is to try it for yourself. It’s a gamble, of course, but with $20 off at Best Buy maybe Sonic Frontiers is worth the risk.
US: $59.99 $39.99 at Best Buy (opens in new tab)
Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 MAX | $129.99 $89.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
Earlier, I was shouting praise for the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 MAX. Well, I’m back with another great headset deal: This time to let you know that the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 MAX (opens in new tab) is $40 off at Amazon. When I reviewed this cheaper alternative to the Stealth 700 MAX, I said that it was “a great-value proposition” – that’s even more true now, with the price coming in under $90.
US: $129.99 $89.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
FIFA 23 | $69.99 $34.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
Is the 2022 World Cup reigniting your love of soccer? Well then you’ll want to jump into FIFA 23. It’s the last game in the series from long-time developer EA Sports, and the studio went all out this year. There’s even World Cup specific DLC so you and your friends can recreate the biggest games of the season. There’s discounts on both the Xbox Series X and Xbox One version too, depending on your platform preferences.
Xbox Series X: $69.99 $34.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
Xbox One: $59.99 $29.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
WD BLACK 2TB P40 Game Drive SSD | $329.99 $179.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
This Xbox Series X compatible external SSD has been discounted by $150 at Amazon for Black Friday, making this handy device just $179.99. With 2TB of storage, you’ll have plenty of space to expand your library of games and the portability to easily carry them with you to a friends’ house.
ASTRO Gaming A50 Wireless Headset | $299.00 $249.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
Astro has always been behind some of our favorite gaming headsets, and we’re happy to see one of the best around be given a pretty solid early Black Friday Xbox deal. $50 off is a great entry point to mid-tier headsets, giving your favorite games more presence and clarity. Whether you’re on Xbox Series X or Xbox One, this is a great headset at a great price.
US: $299.00 $249.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
Battlefield 2042 | $21.99 $11.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
Battlefield 2042 had a rocky launch, but developer DICE is working to get the FPS into a better place. Season 3 of BF2042 just went online and it’s introduced a new map, brought back classes, and a number of key quality-of-life improvements. The game is $10 off at Amazon right now, so there’s never been a better chance to jump in and give it a try for yourself.
US: $21.99 $11.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
NBA 2K23 | $69.99 $29.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
NBA 2K23 is one of those perfect end of year games, particularly if you’re able to pull your friends in for a couple of games online. This year’s installment is solid enough, as we noted in our NBA 2K23 review (opens in new tab), and it looks absolutely stunning on Xbox Series X. So you should consider this 57% saving, bringing the standard edition of NBA 2K23 down to just $29.99.
US: $69.99 $29.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 MAX | $199.99 $139.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
We are big fans of the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 MAX (opens in new tab) around these parts. Like, for real. I reviewed the damn thing back in August, awarding it 4.5/5 stars while noting that it was “easy to recommend.” Well, it’s even easier to recommend now, with this fantastic $60 saving at Amazon. Honestly, this headset works great with Xbox Series X, but it also has compatibility for practically every other gaming device out there. So get on it, and don’t let this good deal pass you by.
US: $199.99 $139.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
Lost Judgment | $59.99 $14.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
Looking for a big action-RPG to sink some time into? Then you might want to consider Lost Judgment from SEGA. This Yakuza spin-off sees returning private detective Takayuki Yagami investigates a criminal accused of heinous crimes in Tokyo. With a great world to explore and rad martial arts stances to master, Lost Judgment is a real steal with this $45 discount.
US: $59.99 $14.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
Seagate Game Drive for Xbox 2TB | $109.99 $69.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
If you want to expand the amount of storage your Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S has, there’s really only two ways to do it. You can either splash some cash on the official expansion card, or you can grab a great external hard drive. You know, one like this 2TB Seagate Game Drive. A great $40 discount means you’ll have so much available space to store games you won’t know what to do with it all.
US: $109.99 $69.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
Xbox Elite Series 2 controller | $179 $129.99 at Newegg (opens in new tab)
Would you believe me if I told you that the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller changed my life? Okay, that’s a nice bit of early evening live blog hyperbole from me there, but it certainly improved every aspect of playing games on my Xbox Series X. It’s a wonderful controller with a great suite of customization options, and a pretty solid battery life that’ll see you through lengthy sessions of everything from Forza Horizon 5 to Warzone 2. Use the promo code BFFDAY22 over on Newegg and get a $50 discount while you can.
US: $179 $129.99 at Newegg (opens in new tab) (with promo code BFFDAY22)
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy | $59.99 $14.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
One of the best games of 2021 is now at one of its lowest ever prices! Seriously, you don’t want to miss out on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy at just $14.99. This version of the game will work on Xbox Series X and Xbox One, and this truly awesome 75% saving won’t last forever. US: $59.99 $14.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
Xbox Series S with extra controller | $359.99 $289.99 at Walmart (opens in new tab)
The Xbox Series S is currently on sale for $249 by itself, so you’re essentially getting the extra controller for just $40. That’s the lowest price the controller is a various website’s around the web right now – so, yes, you could buy the console and extra controller separately for the same price, or just kill two birds with one stone and grab this bundle. Simples!
Halo Infinite | $60 $19.99 at Best Buy
Welcome back, Chief. Halo Infinite continues to be an absolute steal at the moment, with the price of Master Chief’s latest adventure crashing down in the US. You can now head to Best Buy and pick Halo Infinite up for $20. With the game continuing to be regularly updated, there’s never been a better time to jump back into the suit and start slaying some grunts.
US: $60 $19.99 at Best Buy (opens in new tab)
UK: £54.99 £14.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
Xbox Series X (Refurbished) | $499.99 $469.99 at Microsoft
Now, we haven’t seen a brand new Xbox Series X come on sale just yet, as they’re still selling full whack, but we have seen discounts on refurbished units from Microsoft itself. These units come with the same support available from Microsoft as a new console would have, and they’ve been given a going over by the company to make them practically brand new. It is, as it stands, the only way to get the Series X at a discounted price without looking to unrefurbished, second-hand units.
US: $499.99 $469.99 at Microsoft
UK: £449.99 £419.99 at Microsoft
Xbox Wireless Controller – Robot White | £54.99 £34.99 at Amazon
You can pick up an official Xbox controller for a massive reduction at Amazon right now. We’ve posted about the black controller already, but it’s also available in white. Plus, let’s be frank, this is by far the cheapest it’s ever been to buy a new Xbox Series controller on Amazon. The previous low for the white version was £40, and that was only available for a day in September. Otherwise, it’s £55 on average. Plus, over in the US, you also have $20 off!
UK: £54.99 £34.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
US: $59.99 $39.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
Razer BlackShark V2 | $99.99 $69.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
A corker of a deal spotted by our wider gaming team. This is one of our picks for the best gaming headsets for any platform, period, but will sit especially nicely by your Xbox. Based on its sheer quality, performance, and the value it offers even at its retail price, it’s just an all-around brilliant headset. The chance to get it for its second lowest-ever price in this Black Friday gaming deal is not one to be passed up lightly. (Unfortunately, and this speaks to its quality, the headset is still £97 in the UK).
Deathloop | £59.99 £19.79 at Microsoft (opens in new tab)
You can save £40 on a digital download of Deathloop at Microsoft right now. Whether you’ve been holding out for a discount or you’re late to the party, that’s some excellent value, because this really is one of our favorite games of the current generation. In fact, we called it “a killer new-generation showcase that will keep you guessing until the very end” in our Deathloop review.
Call of Duty Vanguard | £49.99 £19.99 at Currys (opens in new tab)
I’m not sure when it happened, but at some stage, I stopped buying the latest Call of Duty game. Instead, whenever a new instalment came out, I bought last year’s game. That’s because, frankly, a year later you can always get the older game at a heavily discounted price (and I still need my COD fix). Lo and behold, last year’s Call of Duty, Vanguard, is now at an all-time low price of under £20 – so if you’re like me, now’s the time to pounce. And if you’re not like me and want the latest version of COD, Modern Warfare 2, that’s also on sale (opens in new tab) right here for £56.99 on Amazon.
UK: £49.99 £19.99 at Currys (opens in new tab)
Xbox Series 1TB expansion card: £254.99 £184.99 on Amazon (opens in new tab)
Looking to upgrade your storage on that new Xbox? Look no further than the Seagate expansion card, the official expansion for the Series set of consoles. If you’re wanting to play current-gen games on something other than the internal hard drive, then you’ll need one of these, as other external SSDs don’t allow that (thought they do allow you to play Xbox One and 360 games straight from external hard drives). Yes, it’s still a bit pricey, but considering how many games you’re going to be buying this Black Friday (or just how many are on Game Pass), you may need one of these. The 1TB option is the one with the best discount, though 512GB is also on offer.
Xbox Series S | £249 £189.99 at Amazon
Yes, yes, we know, this one’s a repost – this deal was flagged at the very beginning of this live blog, but it really is the absolute pinnacle of deals available right now. There’s a reason, after all, that the discounted Series S is currently the best-selling gaming item on Amazon UK right now. If you’re looking to pick up a console from the current generation line-up on a budget, this is – by far – the most affordable way. Under £200! Bargain.
Madden NFL 23 | $59.99 $29.99 on the Xbox store (opens in new tab)
Remember when EA Sports used to be in the game? Well, now you can be too – because the latest version of Madden NFL is on sale. While it doesn’t exactly revolutionize the series, there are some new additions – especially to free agency negotiations – that are excellent, and positive tweaks made all round. If you buy these every year, then frankly, now’s the time to grab a copy, as it’s half-price on the Xbox store, and there are bigger discounts on the other special digital editions.
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction | $39.99 $9.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction is a neat standalone follow-up to Siege’s Outbreak mode of 2018 that has only improved as various patches have been released. It’s a game that really shines in multiplayer, and considering how cheap it now is at just $9.99, you and your mates can all grab a copy and start killing zombies and all sorts of other creatures together. This one’s also cheap in the UK, too, thanks to a deal at Game bringing it down to just £9.99 (opens in new tab).
US: $39.99 $9.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
UK: £19.99 £9.99 at Game (opens in new tab)
Elden Ring | $59.99 $35 at Walmart (opens in new tab)
Have you been holding off buying Elden Ring? Well, change that stance, because the game – which was named the Ultimate Game of the Year at the Golden Joysticks – is now on sale. There’s a reason Elden Ring’s so beloved by gamers the world over; the story of a knight who traverses a deadly landscape, defeating dragons and creatures you can barely conjure up in your own imagination. There’s a thick story to enjoy, though Elden Ring’s more about the combat. It’s almost impossibly hard. You’ll be putting in hours and hours of your life to get through this one. But once you do invest, you’ll be heavily rewarded. There’s a reason, after all, it’s won all these awards. Be sure to pick up Elden Ring if you haven’t already.
Halo Infinite | £54.99 £14.99 at Amazon
There’s never been a better time to jump into Halo Infinite – and no, not just because of this absurd £40 discount in the early Black Friday Xbox sales. Halo Infinite recently received online campaign co-op, Forge mode (so that you can build your own custom maps), and a smattering of quality of life updates. Halo Infinite had a rocky start, but it’s in a good place right now, so take advantage of this massive saving and see for yourself.
Gotham Knights | £64.99 £29.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
If you read our Gotham Knights review (opens in new tab), you’ll know that our return to Gotham City was a little underwhelming. However, there is a solid two-player co-op game in there, so if you’re looking for something to play with a buddy, there are worse ways to spend your time than punching bad guys as either Nightwing, Batgirl, Red Hood, or Robin. This £35 saving may be the cheapest we see Gotham Knights over Black Friday, so act fast if you’re interested.
UK: £64.99 £29.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
Turtle Beach Recon 70P Gaming Headset | £34.99 £14.99 at Amazon (opens in new tab)
